Homosassa, FL., July 15, 2014 - The United Methodist Church of Homosassa will host a one-day conference on Alzheimer's and dementia on September 16, 2014. The event, organized by Debbie Selsavage, Administrator of the Sunshine Gardens assisted living and memory care community in Crystal River, is designed to provide information and resources for caregivers of loved ones suffering from dementia.
Last month we spoke about benefits of support groups and how to locate ones that may be of special interest to you. I thought I would share with you the fall schedule of some of the RBOI facilitated groups in the area of the Villages, Marion County and Citrus County which are areas served by the Robert Boissoneault Oncology Institute.
I was told, as we got older, time would go by faster than anticipated. I did not need age to feel that way about time. My birthday month is August, and, as a young person, I remember thinking it was almost the beginning of a new year after my birthday was celebrated. Why? In a flurry: school began, Halloween pumpkins appeared, Thanksgiving turkeys were roasted, Christmas came and went, and then it was the beginning of a new year. Time flew then, and has wings now.
